Parking fee at Maui Ocean Club

Yesterday I made a 2013 reservation for MOC and when I received the email confirmation I noticed that a $9/day self-parking fee -$14 for valet was listed on the confirmation. Is this a newly implemented fee that I missed the notification about? We did not have this fee when we stayed in 2011. Any folks currently at MOC seeing this fee or having to pay such? I have not contacted the resort as of yet but was wanting to get any insight to the situation from fellow TUGGERS.

The Hawaii Marriotts don't charge Marriott owners for parking.

I'm a Marriott owner, but not in Hawaii. I have never been charged for parking at the Maui Marriott or Ko'Olina properties while on an II exchange. I've also stayed there as a rental guest & didn't have to pay for parking.

I also saw that fee notice for our stay in Sept 2011 but when we were there we were not charged a fee for self park.

I am an owner at MOC and my recollection is owners do not pay for self-parking and get a discount for valet parking.

Non-owners were charged $6/day for self-parking and $12/day for valet so it looks like the fee has increased.

I was in contact today with Marriott Reservations and I asked them to check this out for me. They contacted the resort and I was told that owners do not pay for the self parking. Valet parking fees have been increased to $14/day.

Stayed there for the 1st time as a brand new owner last April (2011), and I saw that fee too, and was not happy. Called the resort to check, and they do NOT charge owners as others have mentioned. If you self park as an owner, no charge. Valet? Well, ya always have to pay for that!

We had friends stay with us at the Ocean Club in December and we had two cars parked in the car park behind the Lahaina Tower, both with MOC passes and both free of charge.

Yes, what Docklander said! My son & his bride also had a 2nd car and were staying with us. No charge for either car.
