Parking at La Belle Maison (New Orleans)

Anyone know what the daily rate is at La Belle Maison? Any good alternatives?

Im pretty sure Valet Parking is $27, but a call to the resort will confirm They may have self parking for less

Alternatives; stay at Avenue Plaza its $12... or find a spot on the street in the Garden District, and ride the streetcar in. I know, Im not much help but parking is a bitch in NOLA

$27 sounds about right, based on our stay there in July 2009. There is no self parking there, however. It's valet or find something elsewhere. For us, we only got a rental car for a couple of days to do some touring beyond the city and French Quarter. Even with the price of parking, it was cheaper than paying for the two tours we wanted to do that would have required transportation too.

To Ron . . . what difference does it make what they do over at Quarter House?

Ron knows I own at Quarter House and stay there most of the times we go to N.O. Quarter House has an arrangement with a parking garage up Iberville, next to Dickie Brennan's. $20/day.

I'll be driving from Northern Virginia and continuing on to South Florida after a week in N.O. so rentals don't have any attraction. I think we've only used a car twice while in N.O. -- once last June to go Baton Rouge to see how the levees was doin', once because my wife had a CostCo attack. Otherwise, the car gets parked after we unload and unparked when we're ready to pack up and head out.

Just to show that I'm not a total slug and that I can use the telephone <grin>, I called La Belle Maison. It's $26/day.

I can't use Quarter House's arrangement ($20/day) unless we're staying there.
