Those pics certainly bring back fond memories of a once great and iconic airline, particularly the 1958 interior of the 707. My first trip to Europe in the summer of 1972 was on a Pan Am 707 Canadian University Student Association charter flight from Toronto Pearson to Heathrow. I was on an identical aircraft on the flight home three months later. It was 3 and 3 seating, similar to that in the pic. I remember the seats as comfortable, with lots of room in the aisle to walk around and chat, too. Very different from today's crammed economy seating.

We drank the plane almost dry on the flight over, since many of us had just attended university graduation ceremonies in the week before!! The only alcohol left to drink was American-sourced Budweiser, which none of us would touch in those days. With apologies to my American cousins, Buds in those days were not considered by most Canadians to be "real" beer...too light on both taste and the alcohol!! :p

Times has changed, I can remember on all business trips we had to wear suites, that was the dress code.

Not all from that bygone era has disappeared....
At JFK, you can have a drink in a 1958 Lockheed Constellation.
The TWA Hotel parked one outside the "terminal" and uses it as bar.

Almost worth a trip to JFK just to check it out...
