Going to Palm springs with 3 other couples. Just for 1 night. Which place would be best? There is also the Palm Springs VIllas.

Of those you mentioned I've only stayed at Westin Desert Willows. It was a very nice property that I would recommend to anyone.

Westin Mission Hills is older and feels like the rooms are slightly larger. Westin Desert Willow is newer, more Mediterranean feel and the rooms are little smaller than Mission Hills. I just have never liked Shadow Ridge but nothing wrong with it either. If you are booking the "studio" side, do not book Shadow Ridge because the studios are tiny. The studios in Westin properties are really small 1BRs with a separate living/dining room from the bedroom. Our favorite is Desert Springs Villas 1 and the 1BR side is very large and feels luxurious.

Westin Desert Willows studios more like 1 bedroom? We've stayed at Villas...studios are fine, property beautiful.

Westin Desert Willow doesn't have studios. I think @VacationForever is just using that term because, with lockout units, it's common to think of the "studio side" and the "1 BR side." But at WDW, both sides are 1 BR. They refer to them as the Premium 1 BR Villa and the (no adjective) 1 BR Villa.

The Premium 1BR has a full kitchen and a full sized living and dining room. The small 1BR has a kitchenette (with full-sized fridge, 2 burner cooktop and microwave, and a dishwasher) and a small kitchen table for two, as well as a small living area with pull-out sofa bed.

We’ve stayed at all of these properties and would opt for Desert Willow.

Of the three mentioned, Desert Willow is our favorite.

If you are going to the Palm Springs area for just one night, does it really matter? At timeshares you check in around 4 (or later) and are required to leave by 10 am. So, you're only at your lodging for, at most, 18 hours. Subtracting for going out to dinner, sleeping, visiting with the other 3 couples and breakfast leaves you with just a few hours enjoying the amenities. You probably wouldn't have time to enjoy the pools, grills, spas or activities.

If I were you and just passing through, I'd just choose lodging that is "Clean, Quiet and Cheap" - - timeshare or hotel room.

Yes, it's worth adding that depending on the time of year, you may have trouble reserving for a single night; although the program theoretically allows it, they often have (unpublished) minimum stays, as very short stays cause a lot of inventory issues ("breakage") and increased housekeeping cost and burden. You might be able to reserve single night stays, but I wouldn't count on it, and I'd have a plan B (which might be a hotel) so you're prepared in the event that you can't get the reservations you want.

We've stayed at them all and our favorite is... Desert Springs Villas I. As mentioned above, the 1bd side is very large and if you are close enough, you can walk to the JW hotel for dinner, drinks, boat ride. If you aren't close enough to walk, you can just take the free shuttle. After DSV I, we like Desert Willow, then Shadow Ridge. Its been years since we've stayed at Mission Hills, and it was our worst Westin experience due to staff and management issues so we haven't been back.
