Palm Beach Shores, Fl questions

check with the desk, there is some kind of "event' every Thursday night, I believe, with booths, entertainment, food at the marina on the other side of the island (a short walk). we ate at the restaurant on the grounds, we used a restaurant.com cetificate if I remember correctly. I have mentioned doing the Flagler Museum (Whitehall), the Breakers Hotel, the botanical gardens in Palm Beach, the Norton Art Museum, and a nearby State park, J.D. macCarther Beach State Park. There is also Lion country Safari, and jonathon Dickinson State park.

I would add going to City Place for eating and shopping is a lot of fun. We also went to Butterfly World which I didn't really want to go to, but we had a great time.

I did a trip report back in the spring of this year that detailed several restaurants we went to and recommended. Check it out under the Marriott Ocean Point reviews.

We enjoy breakfast and lunch at Sailfish Marina. They serve dinner there as well but, we've never had great luck with their dinner menu. A lot of people like Johnny Longboats as well. We've never been huge fans but, it's a nice restaurant with a decent menu. I personally feel the prices are a tad on the high side for what you get.

Rotelli's

We ate at Rotelli's in Lake Worth last year. Very clean place. Food was great, especially the garlic rolls, and service was great. They have an early bird special- Buy one entree, get second one for a $!. Call to verify, before going.

Palm Beach Shores

Any recommendation on things to do and places to eat in the Palm Beach Shores Area?

Check out Palm Beach Sailing Charters with Mike Placek. My wife and kids went sailing with him in 2010 ($100 per hour plus tax and tip, just the four of us) and had a great time. We started after dinner and came in as the sun was setting (two hours). We cruised up and down the beach with Mike pointing out the mansions and telling us about their owners. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely look him up.

The only restaurant that was memorable enough for me to remember by name was the Park Avenue BBQ Grille in North Palm Beach, a short drive from Palm Beach Shores.
