First time going to Palm Wire and I was told the Are a building has recently been remodeled. I was hoping someone has been there and that is true. Also, what kind of snorkeling and tours have you enjoyed?

We went to Palm Aire in Nov. and stayed in the the main building. I guess that might be A. In any case, the room was beautiful and new. There did not seem to be much to do in the immediate vicinity other than the pools at the resort. The buffet in the casino across the street was very good. We took a day trip to Miami but traffic was very heavy there which did not make for a very pleasant trip. We enjoyed our room and the resort itself most of all.

Hi Dancing Waters,

On the Tug Forum Home Page scroll down to Timeshare Resort Regions,
Click on "US - Florida Timesharing"

On the top of the opened page you will see four (4) Red "Sticky" links,
Click on "SE FL Website Links"

This will give you many options.

A Tip of the Hat to the late KenK who compiled this info. He did a great job.

I still miss Ken.

Have a great trip.

We live in Miami, so give us an idea of what your interests are and we may be able to suggest some things.

Lots of stuff to do -- the question is really matching it to your interests.

Also, the time of year makes all the difference. When are you going?

We just got back from Palm-Aire. Our unit was lovely and the resort is very nice. Lots of pools and some activities. Pleasant staff.

Don't go on the owner update--it took forever and was on the high-pressure side. Not worth it.

We were mostly visiting friends and family, so no advice to give you on activities. The beach is nice. Note that you have to pay for parking at the muni-meters EVEN AT NIGHT! We got a ticket.

Tiki Bar has 4 or 5 stools .. lots of drinks, few customers.

Be sure you have a car ... I started the "NO CAR" collection of travelers my last night of 3 nights at PA for Thanksgiving. It was myself and 3 guys --- all of us were traveling SOLO to the resort ... I have not drunk that much in a 10+ years. It was a depressing group ... humorous ONLY because of our desperate and isolated position ... way TOO DARK and DANGEROUS to walk outside of the resort (like to dining or shopping) with the heavily travelled roads (state highways and NO sidewalks or street lights) plus the 6' plus security fencing and in & out by the main gate. Thankfully, the bartender maintains a PILE of takeout menu who will deliver to both the units OR THE TIKI bar (took over an hour but it was something to eat) ... none anywhere inside the resort.

So 6+ hours at the TIKI bar, cold take out (but delivered to the us) Chinese, and then my usual wandering walk over to the lobby to figure out which of the identical and unlabeled building my unit was in ... (every time I left, that is HOW I found WHERE my unit was) .... I was so happy to leave on the AM beach shuttle over to Royal Vista ... for my 1 night stay there. Then, I went down to stay in Ft Lauderdale for several nights.

Thank you multiz321 for that tip, I will certainly take a look at that. I noticed my typos....we are suppose to be in the Areca building. We are going during spring break and hope to take a tour of Miami, take a snorkeling excursion and find a cateraman boat ride. I am glad to hear the resort is nice since it is not a gold crown
