Palace Resorts thru II

I was just exploring vacation options in II, and checked out Palace Resorts locations in/near Cancun. From what I can tell, the cost for a week there either through exchange or getaways is more than $500 cheaper than what I would pay as a Palace Premier member. Admittedly, our membership is low level compared to what is available with that group, but I would have thought our rates be somewhat better than is what is more generally available through other outlets.

Anyway, does anyone know if the II rates are available to existing PR members? I did not see anything on II indicating a restriction on these rates, but I may have missed it. We would like to go next winter, and would be delighted if we could save $500!

You could try calling Palace resorts and seeing if they would match the rate and terms of II plus give you 10% off. I seem to recall that was what they said they would do when I went to a presentation 10 years ago.

Otherwise I don't think there is any restriction although you might not get any additional owner perks and would only be entitled to what II exchangers get.
