If you own at Palace Resorts please register a compliant with their main office. the "preferential rates" we are quoted for 2009 are much higher then the all inclusive rates they are offering RCI. they claim we get better benefits but the only benefit we get is the massage, manicure and pedicure and in many cases members are paying more then $500 more per week then anyone who goes thru RCI. I am totally outraged that they would do this to the people who bought into the resort. Please write, call, do whatever you can to tell them this is wrong.

Did you get a response?

Did you file a complaint? What was their response? I just bought into Palace Resorts a few days ago and at the time of purchase I was told their AI fees are lower than RCI when I asked what advantage do I have to buy with Palace rather than use my existing RCI Points and exchange. But after I got back from my trip and looked up I found out that their AI fees for members is more than what RCI members are charged. Not sure what exactly to do at this point? Do you know if members enjoy any additional benefits to make up for the price difference?

I complained and they gave me an incentive week - big deal I pay 1840.00 for that week. They don't have it together - they have no idea how RCI works in the sales office and have no idea what deals Palace has made with RCI so they make statments that are not true when they say becoming a memeber is the only way to get the cheapest all inclusive fees. I told them I would never purchase from them again nor would I upgrade my account. Thank god I didn't really buy a big package. I would complain - write a letter or send a e-mail to member services.

I was at a recent presentation at Palace. Since I am a member, I questioned the cheaper RCI All inclusive fees. I was told, it is to lure them in... to get the exchangers in for the presentation. Of course, with the 1 in 4 rule, it would be a one shot deal right??

I didn't know that Palace Resorts has the 1 in 4 rule. I wonder, since when?

I don't believe Palace has a 1 in 4 rule, unless it's something new. With the high AI fees for owners, I am not clear why people buy instead of using RCI or just buying off travelocity/expedia. Palace owners do get some other perks like tours, top floor units, & spa credit but it hardly seems worthwhile to buy a Palace membership.
