Wondering if anyone has heard anymore about the Wyndham acquisition of Pahio and what that will mean for Pahio owners?
Not in the old resorts, but I read they have it add to Kona Hawaii Resort.bigeyes1 said:Btw, does anyone know if Wyndham (Fairfield) has a ROFR policy?
bigeyes1 said:We just came back from Kauai this past Saturday. While we didn't have time to attend the Owners' Meeting, we did do an orientation. Our sales rep said Wyndham was adding a new clubhouse and a movie theater at Bali Hai, which is currently under construction.
He also mentioned Wyndham expects the units to be sold at higher prices than what PAHIO is currently selling their weeks for. Now- whether this is a false statement or not, that remains to be seen.
We do know the staff are still uncertain on what the future holds now that Wyndham has acquired PAHIO. They said they were suppose to have received a letter from Wyndham on Sept. 1st, but that letter has yet to be seen. In other words, they are still clueless.
I should add that while we were booking activities, one concierge said they (whoever that is- PAHIO or Wyndham) wanted everyone to convert to points. I don't know if this was a slip-up or just an opinion. When we asked our sales rep during the orientation, he said they can't force anyone to convert to points. If you own a deeded week and you're happy with that, then you can stay that way.
Btw, does anyone know if Wyndham (Fairfield) has a ROFR policy?
I don't believe I have ever been in a TS sales presentation in which the sales person didn't claim selling prices would be higher in the future. Prior to the acquisition I'm sure he said the same thing, but just didn't mention Wyndham.bigeyes1 said:He also mentioned Wyndham expects the units to be sold at higher prices than what PAHIO is currently selling their weeks for.
