Pacific Shores RCI vs. Trading Places

I have a timeshare at Pacific Shores in British Columbia, Canada. We have 48,000 points yearly with RCI. Our RCI membership expires this year and I was wondering if anyone else is at this resort and has deposited with Trading Places. Also, if we deposit our week with TP, do we still need to renew our RCI membership or can we let it lapse?
