Owner update at Parc Soliel today was a breeze (resale)

Went to parc Soliel this morning for an owner update... After their intro video, they took us to the desk and said "I see you're a resale customer. I'd imagine you've done your research and know what I'm going to ask. The only thing... Do you know we're currently buying back flamingo deeds? Yours is worth about $25k... Interested?" I said "nope" and they sent us on our way with a $200 Visa gift card. I'm and out out in 15 minutes....

Was super easy... Anybody know what the flamingo buy back was about? I kind of wish I would have asked more details for my own info... We paid $5k last year.

When we did our 'owner update' a few years ago, we were offered $25K for our 1BR @ Park Soleil. Turns out, it's was a credit towards the purchase of a new deed. A studio at La Pacifica was going for $69K and up. We said, No Thank You.

Eh, my guess is ~$25,000 is what the original owner paid. Our Flamingo was bought in 1994 and they paid ~$11,500 (which was a bunch of money back then for access only to The Flamingo and the SW Florida resorts). Nothing is probably happening with The Flamingo.

It's just the standard trade in what you own for a new purchase. Next time say, sure cut me a check for $25k and it's yours.
