We just got back from Harborside at Atlantis, and loved the waterpark there. (It's so much more than just a waterpark!)

What other timeshares are like Harborside, where the timeshare stay includes something substantial that you would normally have to pay extra for?

Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta includes a water park with a lazy river (w/ a wave generator), large pool complex, two wave pools w/ sand beaches, a kid's water park and a decent-sized waterslide.

I've never been, so this is an honest question. But I've heard good things about the water park facilities at HGVC Kingsland, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Is it extensive enough to qualify as a "destination"?

Just came back from Kings Land and I would say "no" on this. It's just a very nice swimming pool. And a nice TS. But not a complete destination unto itself.

I agree, we checked Kingsland and the whole HGVC complex out when we were on the BI in 2010.

Very nice pool(not crowded and it was mid July) and I would stay there in a heart beat. But it's nothing like Harborside/Atlantis.

As I'm typing this on comes an Atlantis commercial for one of their deals(free airfare or an extra night).

I just wanted to resurrect this thread and see if there were any other ideas?

Or perhaps any All Inclusive resorts where the fees are included (or reasonable)? For instance, I know that Sandals Ocho Rios is available through RCI, and the AI fees are pretty reasonable (compared to direct prices).

Or perhaps any places that have Kids Clubs that are included in an exchange. I know that Four Seasons Aviara used to include that, but they changed recently. Are there any others that still do?

Sandals Ocho Rios is a great choice for AI as it is very reasonable and you get a lot for your money. I would also highly recommend the Melia resorts in Punta Cana which has a very reasonable AI fee and the food was really very good with several specialty restaurants to choose from with no additional fee.

They also had nightly entertainment ( good but not as good as Sandals) included and most activities included such as, sailboats, paddle boats, snorkling trips, banana boat rides etc. and my friend saved a ton of money since he is a diver and that was included with the AI fee as well.:cheer: :hi:

Gamboa Resort in Panama has a few free tours. Also right on the canal and in a rainforest.

Possibly Bonnet Creek if it were located somewhere else.

Wyndham's Wisconsin Dells resort includes watermark access.

But Atlantis is well and above every other places.

For all inclusives-The Palace Resorts (Moon Palace etc) as they have complimentary excursions, several sit down dining options, golf course and free shuttles to any of the other 5 or so Palace resorts in Cancun.

I would also second Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta has good facilities and activities, not quite on the scale of the Atlantis however

I like Aulani a lot and have stayed there 5 times using my DVC points and I live only 6-7 miles away from it. The snorkeling lagoon and stingray interaction are not included with your stay and you need to pay extra for those. The pool is actually not that great. The lazy river and 2 slides are nice, but they do get boring after a couple of hours.

I've never stayed at Atlantis, but from what I've seen and heard it's probably much more of a destination resort then what I would consider Aulani. Aulani, however, has Oahu where there are tons of great places and things to see and do.
