Hi all Tuggers,
This is off topic, but does relate to the west :)
We are thinking about doing a Pacific Coastal Cruise departing on April 28th on NCL. Goes to San Fran, Astoria, Victoria and Nanaimo.. I know sort of the weather for Victoria and Nanaimo at this time of year could be very nice or very cold, or anything in between.. Any one have any idea of sort of a mean type temperature we would expierience in San Fran/Astoria and the at Sea days in between? or anyone who has been on the NCL Pearl that could give us a review..

Any insight would be great!!

Thanks!
Robb

I am sure if you check out Cruise Critic you will find some valuable information about this cruise (I just can't stand to see an unanswered question - even if I don't have anything to contribute!!) As far as weather, I am also sure it could be nice or cold or anything in between!!

Cruisecritic shows this as a 7 nighter from L.A. Finaling in Vancouver. Only 77% rated it 'loved it.' That might be a little low. We aren't fond of NCL. We like to dine at mid size tables of 6 or so strangers. When we would present at the maitre 'd's desk only once were we not seated at a 2-top. I love my DW immensely and suppose she does me as well, buy we have heard all of each others' stories. NCL calls this 'Free Style Cruising'. We call it 'No Style' cruising.

Their option- other than paying surcharges in the specialty restaurants aboard would be to have assigned seating with the same people for each dinner seating. I can have one meal with anyone, but the chance of getting someone unpleasant for a week is enough to make us request open seating.

This was on Norwegian Jade, a sister ship to the Pearl. The ship itself was fine, but we have found that we prefer Celebrity for about the same price.

Starting in So. Cal and ending in Canada, you would have a variety of weather possibilities. www.cruisecritic.com is the most authoritative place on the web for cruise info.

Others are certainly welcome to their opinions. That's what makes the world an interesting place.

Jim
