How many timeshare resorts are adjacent to the convention center? Are any resorts perhaps walking distance? TIA for any advice!

I live here in Orlando and in that area. I cant recall any in walking distance. At least that I would walk. The convention center area is HUGE.
Some of the closer resorts are Marriott Grande Vista, Westgate Lakes, Hilton Sea World and few others. Hopefully that helps. There is a Trolly that goes up & down I-drive that may also help with trasportation. Thanks :D

I'd add Marriott's Harbour Lake and Marriott's Cypress Harbour to that list as those two and HGVC SeaWorld International are the three closest - less than three miles. But nothing is truly walkable.
There are several more reasonably nice resorts in the general area.

Wyndham Orlando International Resort is on the International Drive trolley route (all 2-bedroom resort), which means you can stay there and hop on the trolley to OCCC.

I'm not sure I'd say Marriott Grande Vista is even walking distance to International Drive to get the trolley! It's set back quite a long way!

There is only hotels by the convention center.

I have stayed at HGVC and took the conference shuttle or I trolley and I rented from owners on both occassions for about $100 / night on a last minute basis. One time I booked some weekday nights at the Rosen Center via RHC points but I had to plan way in advance for that one.
