Options for unusable lagoon penthouse

We were fortunate to book the penthouse at Lagoon for a popular school vacation week. We now cannot use it because of our daughter's sports schedule.

We stayed up late every night when it became available to secure this reservation.

Any options other than to throw this prize fish back into the pool? Need to decide before end of this year for points.

You can deposit it with an independent exchange company like SFX. You will have to buy a guest certificate when someone books the exchange from them.

The other choice is to fly under the radar and rent it out. While we are not supposed to rent weeks that we don't own, many owners do.

Just cancel the reservation and get your points back.

Like you, I stayed up late right at 9 months and had a Logoon Tower pentouse, OF, scheduled for this week (Pearl Harbor and the surfing comeption that we've been going to every year),but when back-to-back 2-BDRM OF weeks opened up at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club, I canceled and payed the HGVC fee to save my 2015 points.

There's always next year, just have to find out your kids schedule when their not in school and not playing sports.

I know coaches are relentless but I would go on the family vacation. Several kids on my niece's team had to split vacations due to divorced parents so they had to miss several practices over the holidays. Coach didn't care. He made them sit out the first 2 games. It's pretty sad.

Our case is a bit different in that our daughter is a high school senior and she was fortunate to earn a scholarship offer from a D1 program at a major university. She needs to train for her sport in the spring to continue to qualify for her team when she enters college in the fall.

We have postponed our plans from spring break to summer. If anyone has a reservation for a Lagoon ocean front or penthouse anytime between June 23 to July 7 and would like to swap with our early April penthouse or work out an arrangement for us to rent or trade, please send me a private message. We currently have an OV reserved but would like a 3 bedroom and/or oceanfront to celebrate our daughter's HS graduation.

If it's a March or April reservation why don't you just cancel it and get the points back? Or if you had to pay a reservation fee change it to later in the year so you don't lose the fee. Seems easy.

Sure that's an option. My post was to explore whether there are other options available.

BTW...it is not USC but of similar prestige. My daughter's sport is not softball.
