Oppinions re: Lenovo IdeaPad Computers

Our daughter contacted us about buying a new computer. Her employer (mega Large) is replacing all computers with Lenovo ThinkPads (formerly IBM ThinkPads). Employees are able to order from the Lenovo line at a discount. I'm looking at the home user models, called IdeaPad. I would appreciate any information anyone would care to share.

I have to move moderately fast on this. I am considering replacing our 6 year old Gateway desktop with an IdeaPad Y710 (17") or IdeaPad Y730 (17"). I'll hang on to my small laptop for traveling for now and use the new laptop as a desktop replacement. Hope someone can give me a few ideas or oppinions.

Pricing: Y710- $989.10 Y730- $854.10

I have to watch my budget. Just paid my MF fees for two locations and Barony Beach is coming up soon. :whoopie:
