Online reservation availablity wrong

Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club
I had an interesting experience on Thursday when I was giving the Thursday morning reservation experience a dry run before the real thing this week. The web reservation system said there was no availability at Waiohai Beach Club for any of the check-in days. When I called the reservation line, they said there was availability. Has anyone else had that experience? For now, I'm planning on hitting the phones this Thursday morning.

Yes, I have had that happen. You need to call + e-mail them to fix your on-line account. It is not working properly. It took me several calls to get them to fix it so you are smart to plan on calling for the reservation you hope to make soon.

Stay on them!

I took Jan's advice and contact the Web Support. Here's their response.

I understand that you have expressed concern regarding your 2007 usage at Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club. Please be advised that currently Waiohai owners have experienced difficulty confirming reservations online. However, this difficulty should be resolved when the new website has been completed. Therefore, it is advisable at this time to confirm your reservation by calling Owner Services at (800) 845-4226.

I would rather have some news than no news.

I am unable to test for you whether this is a Waiohai problem as we own 2 weeks every even year so my next reservation won't be until 2008.

Maybe some other Waiohai owner can see if their account is working.

Was doing some "test driving" on my Maui Ocean Club and saw the exact same thing. Not one date was available in 2007. I wonder if it is a system wide issue, related to Hawaii or just coincidence? Thanks for the heads up about calling :)

I just checked several random dates in 2007 for MVL and everything seems to be in order.

Justed call MVCI and confirmed that there was no availability for January & February 2007 at the MOC. So I guess the Web Site is working fine.
