I would truly appreciate advise
We are in Williamsburg for-the month of June
Massanutten for the month of August
July 6 to August 2 we have open
We would love to travel to different east coast locations… please advise with recommendations
Thanks

A little more info
We have RCI and II
We have Sheraton
Mother 60 traveling with son 28
Not very athletic but love nature
Love history

Maybe head south and then do a loop back up to Massanutten: a week at VA Beach, then a week at MB, a week at HHI, then uo and across to Foxrun/NC mtns, then back up through VA to Massanutten.

If you head north and do a loop: Ocean City, MD for a week, then DC, then maybe NJ coast or the Poconos, and then head back southwest to Massanutten.

Any particular resorts you recommend
We are not picky
But we’ve never been on that side of the USA
Been very blessed to have traveled to over 160 countries all 7 continents but only now in retirement am I seeing my own country 🤣

We were also considering Vermont New Hampshire Meine etc
Feedback is very much appreciated

Yes we are looking to stay in timeshares
We have RCI and II plus Sheraton

Check the Berkshires. RCI always has a lot of availability at VV locations in Hancock and Pittsfield. This will put you within driving distance of southern Vermont, the Hudson Valley, the southern Adirondacks and the Capital Region.

Vermont, NH, Maine are all great---and very far away from the mid-VA resorts that are bookending your trip. The resorts in Maine, for example, would be a solid 12+ hours of driving from either resort, and the VT/NH would be further west as well as north. It might be absolutely lovely, but you'd be spending lots and lots of time in your car.

For example, the Acadia-adjacent resorts in Maine are a 20 hour drive from my house in NC, which is only 3 or so hours from Williamsburg. So at least 17 hours of driving to get to them. Even the southern Maine coast resorts would be at least 13-14 hours drive time from Williamsburg. Central VT is 14-15 hours from my house, so again, 11-12 hours min. drive time. I've done all those drives, but it takes me two driving days to get to to the Acadia-area resorts from here.

I am currently in Wyndham Smoky Mountains and loving the area and the national park. You can drive to much of the park, and there are a lot of pull-offs. IDK how available it is in the summer, but I have frequently seen it on RCI. I also like the nature and such available at Smuggs in VT, but that is such a long drive from Massanutten as others said. Both Massanutten and Smoky Mountains aren't really "East Coast" though, so maybe try and do Myrtle Beach or IMHO Surfside Beach a little south. I liked Worldmark Grand Palms which I've seen on RCI (as Wyndham - they're the same resort I guess), or I was able to rent from a nice TUG member. That puts you on the coast and lots of great seafood. There's also a few nice parks near there, and maybe an hour away there's a "statue park" you can walk through.
