Once again I have 2 United Club Passes that are going to go to waste!

I'm not sure if any clubs are open yet, but I have 2 United passes that expire April, 10, 2021. I never travel on United, but get these passes yearly with my Chase card. I will send them to the first person who sends a private message. The rule is now that you must be on a United flight to take advantage of the clubs.

I thought that had always been the rule. I think each time we've used the passes to get into a United Club we've had to show our boarding passes.

No, I haven't flown United in years since we relocated to the South. Every year we were able to use the United passes while flying on Delta, but this changed in November, 2019.

Has been the rule with in the past year or so. Until recently, you could go to the clubs when not flying on United. Used to be same way with Delta and American. All airlines have made it so you can only access their lounges when flying on their airline now.

This thread made me remember that I don't think we used the ones we got last year. I just received the email a few days ago for the ones for the next year. With the new requirement they often go to waste. I suspect that was the plan. You can also *ahem* sell them on EBay and get about $40 for a pair of them.
