I have 3 questions regarding my upcoming trip.

1. When I made my reservation, I requested a certain section and to be near the pool. I know requests are never guaranteed. I've never used on-line check-in, but was thinking about it for this time. We're arriving on a Saturday, but won't get to the resort until about 7PM. If I do on-line check-in, is there away to again make the requests I made before?

2. I ordered photopass to get a gazillion shots taken :). I've always used my magic band when they take the photo. Friends who are going with us (and staying in the unit) don't have magic bands and will probably just use the room card. Will any photos they get using the card automatically go to my photopass account? Or do I need to have their card linked somehow?

3. Also, after we check in, can our friends go to the front desk to have their credit card on file for any purchases they may charge to the room? I think that is a yes, but just want to confirm.

Thanks!

Link your friends in MDE and their cards. The front desk will happily associate their cards so they can charge to them.

I don't recall a method to add any preferences during the online checkin process. If you've already called or done that otherwise, they will still be taken into consideration. Regardless of how you checkin. We called with requests for a recent stay and did online checkin. Our preference (ground floor) was granted.

I agree with above - there is a section for requests when doing online checkin, but if you check any of those boxes it will completely overwrite the request you submitted before. So leave that part blank when doing online checkin. If you want to confirm your requests, call DVC again at the number you called when you got your Disney confirmation number and gave them the names of all guests.

Yes, they can have the PhotoPass photographer scan their Key to the World card (which will be room key and park tickets and will be linked to their profiles in MDE). Do they have their own MDE accounts, or are they simply listed in your F&F? If they have their own MDE accounts, their photos will go there, but you'll also be able to see them in your account and download them without watermarks, if you make sure you don't have Hide Family & Friends checked. If they exist only as profiles in your MDE account, you'll be able to see and download them without watermarks.

Yes, they can do this. I've seen it recommended that they go to the gift shop and purchase something inexpensive, such as a bottle of water, so that you can check your resort folio and make sure the charge went to them and not to you. I'd check charges daily in any case, so that they can be fixed timely if any errors.

They are in my F&F list on MDE. Not sure if they have their own MDE account. Will have to check on that.

In order to enjoy the benefits of staying at a deluxe resort (specifically, the Deluxe Extra Evening Hours at Epcot and MK) and other benefits of staying onsite, they’ll need to be linked to your resort reservation through MDE. Having their names listed with DVC and having room keys isn’t enough. So their names need to be in your F&F list, and those names need to be linked to the reservation.

The question is whether their profiles exist only in your MDE (it will say “Plans managed by me” by each name) or if they have their own MDE accounts and their profiles are simply linked to your F&F list. What about park tickets? Those have to be linked to the same profile that’s linked to the SSR reservation.

If they have their own MDE accounts but you have them listed as “managed by you” in your F&F list, you will need to connect the profile in your MDE to the profile in their MDE. You can do that by scanning the Linking Code or by sending an email from your MDE to the address they used to set up their own MDE.

Hopefully I haven’t confused you too much! If you have trouble figuring it all out, the WDW IT folks are very helpful. I even accidentally duplicated myself once, and they fixed it! Their phone number is (407) 939-4357.
