old or new maui?

I currently have an efficiency reserved at MM1 (the new tower). Is it really an "upgrade" to a one bedroom in the old part? Anyone know the difference in square feet?

If you had the choice, which would you choose?

If it were me, I would go with the old 1BDRM. I know the new rooms are superior in decor, but the old section is still a super resort and I would enjoy the extra space more no question.

If you told me it was just 2 adults, and you were getting OF vs garden then I might consider the studio, but the likelyhood is as an exchanger you're getting a lesser view in both, so that would make me fall back to my original thinking.
