In all the years we have visited Maui (and gone to the OLL), I have not once seen any discounts for it. I'd be interested to see if anyone else has come across a deal, because we'll be visiting next September again, and even the discount vendors on the island sell tickets for full price. They sell out on a nightly basis, so they really don't need to discount anything.

We have spent a great deal of time on Maui, with much more planned in the coming years. We love both OLL and Feast at Lele (run by the same great folks), and I agree that there really aren't any discounts. OLL is a superb show, gorgeous beachfront, sunset location and has a reputation of being the most authentic Hawaiian luau in the state of Hawaii.

If you've never done a luau and can swing the price, I heartily recommend you go. Happy planning!

^ Agreed 100%. I'd also suggest getting seats at a table and chair, unless you sit cross-legged for a few hours, or are not tall/big.

Deals on Old Lahaina Luau

We were staying at the Maui Leah Timeshare Resort when we went. I called ahead and they were able to get some discount with an AARP card. It may have been only 10% but for 10 people that is a free ticket. Other resorts should be able to get a discount. Also, there may be a 10 person discount call ahead to both the resort and Luau to see if they can give a discount for such a large party.

Also, it is a great Luau so you should try to book it early. You need to book it early perhaps a month or even two months before since it does sell out well before the event dates. So make your calls and book early even now.

We usually go to Maui in February (sometimes January) and we have gone to the Old Lahaina Luau perhaps 5 times, usually with 3 or 4 people in our party. We normally book a couple days in advance and have never had a problem getting in, although it always seems full or nearly so. It is not always completely sold out. One time we had to take our second choice of dates, a day later than our first choice. So I would say book early if you are sure of what you want, but don't book before you are ready because of fear you won't be able to get in. (Weeks 51 and 52 might be an exception. That is by far the most crowded time of the year and we avoid it like the plague.) With 10 people it might be a little tighter, but booking a week or so ahead would still normally be sufficient.

Summer can also be very busy

We were there during President's Week in 2009 and we booked about a month ahead for 2 people and had not problem. It was full the night we were there.
Some people we know with a party of 6 couldn't get in this summer 3 weeks ahead. They went to the Luau at the hotel they were staying at in Kaanapali.
