I was interested in the promo package for Hilton Waikoloa Village but it says it’s sold out. Do you think it might come back?

They do offer these from time to time, so I am pretty certain it will be back in the future. I have been trying to use a 3 night package I mistakenly purchased for Vegas, and every weekend I have tried they have been sold out. We are usually going to Vegas for concerts or date specific events, so don't have much flexibility. This past time they offered to put me up at the Hampton Inn, but did not have any sales appointments left.. Seems like interest in the marketing packages is good..

Vegas has really transformed as a destination with major events driving weekend demand Higher than it was before. Timeshare packages are a steal compared to booking strip resorts most weekends. With tickets climbing ever higher, more people are drawn to the promise of a cheap stay for their concert. The 3 day packages are less than entry prices for The Eagles.

Funny you mentioned the Eagles. Tried to get tickets at presales and regular onsales and...nothing. Rather than buying inflated Resales now, we booked a stay at Elara for the date we want and will try to get something at a better price (closer to face) last minute. Or we'll just do something else :)

Cheers.

We stayed at the Elara last week, really enjoyed it.

We were going to stay an extra night to see Dead and Co at Sphere. But tickets for DnC were $180 for the cheapest we could find and ~$800 for section 200 (? is this the right section as being "the best"?). Decided that wasn't worth it.

So we also heard of their general Postcard From Earth, and even that was like $150. So, we didn't bother, but did enjoy the view from the Elara windows - the 50th floor (which is actually only physical floor 40, btw... nice marketing trick)

I actually want the back (cheaper) sections. I don't need to see the band (Eagles, dead or U2) and I want a better view of the sphere. I've seen all these bands when they were younger and even then they weren't worth looking at. And I can't see Dead & Co. since it's just not the same without jerry.

Cheers.

Postcard from Earth at the cheapest tickets is reasonable with how Vegas experiences are going. $180 for a live concert is apparently a steal for the Sphere now. I paid $250 for 300 level seats to Dead & Co on a retail price marketplace, and looked at $325 to get the obstructed view of the Sphere for Eagles just not worth it. 200 level and above at the Sphere is considered reasonable. I had 400 level for U2 and it was great.

I tried for both U2 and Eagles and got shut out of all but resale at high prices. And this was with the presale codes...sigh... I'd prefer 300 or 400 section at face value, or close. Being close, paying more and not seeing the full Sphere is a non-starter for me. I'm there for the Sphere...and then the band :)

Cheers.

Dead & Company steers everyone to Cashortrade for resale tickets at face value.

Interesting it just sold out possibly a month ago. I was offered a Waikaloa package but opted for San Diego.

We are going to see the Eagles at the sphere, thats the show i was talking about above. I was able to get tickets via the pre-sale, but only in section 100 so we will a less than great view of the sphere.. Not what I had hoped, but at least the tickets were not at the resale prices... I may have to bite the bullet and buy resale next time to get better seats,,

Which show are you going to? We will be there for the Sept. 21 show, albeit as yet without tickets...just in case.

Cheers.

Let’s just say I can get a promo stay for Waikoloa, how likely is it I can get a stay for the dates I want during the summer?

We are going to the show on Sept. 27th. I ended up using some Marriott free night certificates to book at Bellagio since I could not get the dates I needed with HGV.
