Odds of grabbing Bonnet Creek during Express booking window over New Years?

I have a problem, and that problem is that no matter how many Wyndham contracts I buy off of eBay (and I’m up to 5 now), I never seem to have enough points. I need 6 nights over Christmas this year from December 28-January 3rd to finish the second half of a two week stay at WDW (first half on property using DVC points, but I don’t have enough of those either to do both weeks). What do people think the odds are of a 2 bedroom deluxe still being available in the Express window so that I can borrow points from next year are?

Hard to say. At the moment, there are more than eight 2BR Deluxe units available even after I booked one of them for you.

Express reservation window for this reservation starts on September 28. See what's available then and if there isn't anything, contact me and we'll coordinate a cancelation. Maybe you can pick it up. (I've had pretty good success picking up cancelations lately.) If you don't need the reservation, I may be able to rent it. We'll be at BC during that period so I won't be affected by Owner Priority.

I still have some points left for 2024 but my vacation schedule is pretty full and I don't foresee any chance to use them.

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
Waitlists continue until 60 days at which point auto upgrades kick in. Between the 2, I don't think chances would be great for a 2 BR for those dates.

It is, after all, New Year's Eve and everyone goes gaga for the fireworks.

That's why I booked a reservation now. If there is availability at 90 days, @Fido Chuckwagon can book it himself. If nothing shows at the 60 day point, at least he has a reservation. We'll work it out.

This is extremely generous, thank you for the assistance.
As a side note, I attempted to book January 1 -4 (since that’s in my next use year), and then use the modify tool to see if it would let me modify and grab the three days before January 1 using my 2025 points, but apparently that trick does not work.

I booked January 1-4 and was able to modify by adding December 29-January 1 (three night max).

That's bizarre. Which pool of points did it grab from? Maybe it's because you had enough 2024 points available? When I click on modify it says I don't have enough available benefits to make the modification.

I have enough 2024 developer points to cover the modification. When I tried to book Dec 29-Jan 3, I got the same "not enough available benefits" response. That's the first time I've seen that response. I think it used to say something about insufficient points, rather than benefits.
