Oceanside views

Hi everyone and happy Easter,

I finally closed on my 2br Surf Club unit after about 6 months. I have a few questions:
1. How can I view my old conversations?

2. Do all oceanside units have ocean views?

3. Because of how long this process took I am locked out of the best weeks. Is there any insurance I can purchase in case I can't use my week after I choose the date (I'm looking to rent it this year and don't know if I will be able to travel if I can't rent it out).

First I would think you'll be able to rent your OS Surf Club as it is a high demand resort. Even a non-prime week will rent I believe, but it may be a matter of for how much. This is one of the few downsides of buying resale, you often get stuck with a less than desirable first year usage but your goal should be to at least get back your maintenance but I'd like to think you'd be able to do a little bit better than that with such a nice unit to rent. Research Redweek to see what similar weeks are renting for. My approach is to price my rentals somewhere closer to the lowest price but not the lowest. Monitor the listings and if a few new ones pop up lower than you then maybe you adjust your price accordingly if your rental date is within 90 days, if not try to be patient because alot of people rent 90 days and in, especially non-prime weeks that are still available.

Yes all OS have nice ocean views. It's the second highest view category just below OF.

Surf Club has 4 view types. Ocean Front, Ocean Side, Ocean View and Garden View. OS is higher than OV in spite of the naming and even though they are the same cost in terms of Destination Club Points. OS should all have good views, esp with an owner priority for assignments.
