I've heard that SPM resorts is now managing this resort near Cape Canaveral and they have started refurbishing the oceanfront balconies that were in poor condition. Is there anyone out there who knows what renovation plans are in the works at Oceanique?

They're repairing the balconies and making other improvements. There was a SA of $2,400 per week spread over 3 years. The staff there is great and it's a nice relaxing resort.

Do you know when they expect to have the improvement work finished?

I live in the area...pretty sure I've seen them out doing work on this place as I drove by in the recent past. Does this place ever come up for trade anymore tho? I used to trade my folks in during the winter, but it seems like I Never see it come up anymore.

Next time you drive by let us know if they are still working on the renovations. With a SA of $2400 per interval they have a lot of money in the collection plate yet to spend.

Oceanique weeks on Ebay

Three weeks are up for sale on Ebay. That's unusual. It's rare to see any weeks for sale at this resort. The owners must have been scared off by the special assessment, which none of the Ebay ads mentions, BTW. Imagine that!

Is the assessment over a number of years? It would have to be disclosed to the buyer eventually I'd think...if not, that's really bad!

3 weeks is rare...I looked at buying a week for my folks years ago and never did find one that would work. There wasn't a lot for sale.
