Oceana Palms pool resurfacing

This thread is lasting longer than the time it takes to resurface a pool.

Any idea how long it is supposed to last and if they will be moving to another pool next? We are due to checkin there on the 21st.

I called today to have my Bonvoy number added to my II trade and asked about the on-site restaurant bar/grille, and she said it would be opening on Monday the 8th.

Looks like the restaurant/bar and store are now open, according to the Marriott resort update page.

Excellent! No I haven’t heard. They are paving parking lots in front occupied buildings. I’m here until the 26th! When i stop by the front desk I’ll ask

And we'll we there the 2nd of July...hoping most of the pools and the on-site food/beverage places are open by then. I called and talked to the arrival people yesterday but they didn't know when.

Well - cases are spiking because testing is WAY higher now - probably not the best data. I've been looking at hospitalizations, positive test rates (5% in Florida), and death rates as the indicators. That has been the approach by our state (MD) and it has been successful so far in flattening the curve and maintatin a negative downward trend here.

You should be fine. Main pool is down for the next two weeks. It’s the only pool they were working on.

Good to know. They had the pool down at Oceana Palms while we were there, so we are used to it. There really couldn't be a better time for them to take the pools down for this maintenance, being that occupancy is so low.
