I have the opportunity to trade into either of these units. I am looking for reviews. One would be in late June and the other would be July. I know Ocean Time is closer to the Ocean, I am wondering if either resort would be a better fit. I have a call into both resorts to inquire about opening.
Background: We are familiar with Ocean City just not the time share resorts. We will be traveling as a family of 5.

Thanks

Are you looking at the 1 BR or 3 BR at Sea Time? The 1 BR has 2 doubles in the bedroom plus a sofa bed with one bathroom.
I have never stayed at the Quarters but have stayed at Sea Time.
Timeshares in ocean city are quite a bit older and less renovated than most timeshares that I have stayed at in other locations. When you have stayed in Ocean city what is the least fancy hotel/motel you have ever stayed at? Just trying to judge because if you aren't familiar with Ocean city timeshares you might be disappointed with either.

Someday I am going to check out an Ocean City timeshare. It would be the closest Atlantic Ocean timeshare to me (Northern VA). It is just that Virginia Beach is not that much further and seems to have better timeshares. I only have access to RCI, and the VSA resorts are not great, but plenty good for our weekend trips. A real step up from the hotels we used before getting into timeshares.

I didn't know there were any 2brs at Ocean Time, somehow I thought they were 1br and 3br only.

That said, we stayed there a few years ago in a 1br and my DH, who is not super picky, really disliked it. Part of the reason for his dislike was the check-in procedure. This sounds dumb, but when you check in, you go to this little office and the door is covered with stickers and signs that say things like YOU WANT IT WHEN? HA HA HA and THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG and dozens of similar comments, most considerably cruder. Also tons of rules. The check-in guy was rude, too.

The building itself was fine but rundown. The unit was fine but rundown. The location is very good, and there's also a pool.

Ocean Time is 2 BR only. You must be thinking Sea time- which is a different one right in front of ocean time. Different management companies. Ocean Time is a little nicer inside than Sea time and management is off sight (behind Delmarva bank). Sea Time has a better chance of ocean views and is closer to the ocean.

You're right! And we've stayed at Ocean Time too! I'm so sorry. Ocean Time is very nice, much nicer than Sea Time. The 2br was bright and spacious. Definitely recommend.

Thanks all for the replies. I did confirm Ocean Time is open and accepting reservations. The Quarters at Marlin Cove said they are not yet accepting reservations as of Tuesday May 11th.

Wackymother -- I use to own a 1BR at SeaTime. I found it depressing, so I sold it after two years. I agree the manager was mean, but he finally retired 3-4 years ago. Much nicer management and check-in now.

Thanks for the update! It's funny that it has such an unpleasant vibe--the location is excellent and the units are okay by Ocean City standards.
