You can book rooms at Ocean 22 at Hilton.com, yet when I look through HGVC this resort is not an option. Any idea when it will be available to HGVC members?

It is already available to hgvc members. You just need to use the classic system.

Thanks, I would have never thought to took in the older system. One would assume that inventory is the same in both systems.

Yes but for some reason they are different. A few weeks ago both ocean 22 and Italy was available through both systems but they disappear again. I assume they will return with the redesign scheduled for later this year.
