That is one tour I won't be taking!
I don't see any more reason to see where Obama grew up than I would have a reason to see where Lenin grew up if I ever make it to Russia. Likewise, I have no more desire to visit where Bush grew up than I have to see where Castro grew up, if I ever visit Cuba.

Inauguration Tourism.
Check out the Washington DC Craig's List pages of temporary housing available for rent during Inauguration week -- at least 1,000 offerings as of yesterday for homes, rooms, apartments, condos, studios, basements, lofts, & I don't know what-all as far away as Leesburg VA & Baltimore MD.
Prices range from $75 per night up to $2,500 nightly depending on space & luxury level & amenities, etc. -- usually with a 3-night minimum.
It's not only financial opportunism on the part of the people offering to rent out their guest roooms, etc. -- it's actually a public service. Apparently all the hotels & motels & timeshares are booked solid for miles around.
Plus, according to the local TV news, Oprah Winfrey has booked the Kennedy Center Opera House for all of Inauguration Week so her show can originate from Washington DC while all the ceremonial & historical stuff is going on.
