Hello everyone,

We are hoping to get a 3 bedroom in Oahu for Christmas 2020!! Any chance or am I dreaming? Alternatively, we on at Kingsland but in a 2 bedroom plus and would be needing a 3 bedroom. Again, am I hooped there? Thanks for any advice :)

I would say "dreaming" because weeks 51 & 52 are event weeks to all of HI except for Bay Club and Ocean Tower. An owner of that week must, therefore, cancel their week and then you see it before anyone else. But, others might be able to get a much better opinion than I because I really don't monitor HI that much.

I have gotten rooms in Waikiki less than a week before checkin. But, you need to be flexible and take a two bedroom plus a studio or three studios. Check back everyday Or a couple times a day. If you don’t get it nine months in advance, start trying about eight weeks prior.

I agree booking a three bedroom in Oahu during that time period would be very slim so you need to be flexible and be willing to stay in multiple rooms as a backup.

I suggest taking whatever is available as soon as the booking window opens and walk the reservation (similar to what you did for the Big Island - link). Keep in mind, the Grand Islander opens up at six months before checkout (instead of 9 months). ;)

The three bedroom units are all penthouse units. They are located in the Lagoon Tower, Grand Waikikian Tower and Grand Islander Tower at HHV (link)
NOTE: Only the Lagoon Tower three bedroom can be booked online. The other two require a phone call. See this thread (link).

Good Luck :)
