So for various reasons (mostly because I've been renting and not using) I didn't book anything for Special Cypress Harbour 2016. I didn't convert to destination club points and I didn't make a Cypress Harbour resort reservation for 2016.

So today I wise up and decided to make a reservation. Check the calendar and there is a GRAND TOTAL of 3 check in dates remaining for the entire 2016 year.. Today March 7, Thur March 11, and Friday March 12.

Ouch! Call up Marriott - nice man on the phone says he's never seen this.

Only brilliant recommendation he gives is:
1) Constantly troll the website looking for weeks 51 or 52 of 2016 to become available. March, April, Dec are only in season *remaining* months ALLOWED for Special Season check-in but only March 7, 11, 12 2016 have open check-in days. If April would become available it would be a late II deposit.


2) Wait till March 12 passes by and if there really is 0 weeks available for 2016 then ask for RPU (replacement unit week).

3) I can't post this option because the over zealous moderators here would delete it :)

Any advice?

I think option 2 is your easiest option and if you were planning on exchanging anyway, that is what I would take.

I second option 2. Option 3 is too short notice. Option 1 is time consuming with no guarantees. You could always do option 1 for a week or so and then switch to option 2 but for a normal deposit it's not worth the hassle.

So it became official this morning - There are no weeks reservation check-in's available for 2016 Special Week at Cypress Harbour.. Sent a request off to the customer advocacy dept and asked for a replacement week..

I really think the weeks vs dest points partitioning is broken...
