I have a friend who owns no timeshare but was allowed to purchase an RCi membership. she did this when bluegreen gave her a 3 year, two weeks a year bonus certificate. she can book 45 days out at the exchange rate.

You should hear her complain that RCI is only offering her standard resorts or one bedroom for $164 a week. She is busy trying to book Feb in Florida again. And she doesn't want any standard resorts!

But what really shocked me is that apparently RCI is doing an ongoing search for her in the San Diego area for November. they called her to offer her a week. Remember, she is not exchanging, she is using a bonus week. When I register a bonus week, it says you cannot search on line, you have to call RCi, and you certainly can't have an ongoing search.

You just have to remember that "RCI is a travel rental & exchange company". So their first priority is travel rental not TS exchange.

Bill I have one of these certificatesand they will not do a searc for me or let me search on line with it. Remember, they are getting only the exchange fee from her, not their high rental rates.
