Notice from Reno Fraud.org

Not sure where to post, please move if in wrong place.

I received a card in the mail today from Reno Fraud.org. I went to the website but only thing I saw was a lawsuit has been filed over the Plaza Resort Club. It's in regards to where owners were given the option to return weeks for $350.00 per week to handle the closing costs. The Resort was no longer going to operate as a timeshare. As I owned 2 weeks it cost me $700.00 to have the weeks deeded back to the resort. Has anyone else received this notice and knows what if anything needs to done. Card and website had no information that I could find on this.

It sounds like the hoa board got you to pay to take these deeds back knowing they were going to sell the property and collect the funds. If you had held on you might have realized a small portion of the value of the property once sold.

Thanks Dave. I was glad to be rid of the 2 weeks.. Was not given much of an option. I could exchange the 2 weeks for weeks at 3 other resorts they listed or pay the fees for them to take the weeks. I would still have had to pay fees for titles at the other places. They were not desirable properties so I just paid and got rid of the Plaza. Since this was all back in 2016, not sure why I got this card in todays mail.
