I'd also suggest reading what you can here. Suggestions - look in the Mexico threads and the link that Brian provided to get started.

I looked in the TUG database and I didn't see the location you had asked about. However that doesn't mean that there isn't one there, it means that I didn't know what else to look for.

In order to look at the databaase and reviews, you need to join TUG. Believe me, while you are getting yourself educated on timeshares, and looking to see which timeshares you might be interested in buying, the modest membership fee is well worth it!

Good luck and welcome to this site.

On another note, I do not believe the Riu is a timeshare. It is a hotel chain. Besides, think very carefully about buying a timeshare with a mandatory AI. It can be pricey and the trade power can suffer because it comes with high fees. Lots of Cancun stuff on ebay but get your education first. Some of them are places you do NOT want to own.

I must be honest and say that when I first found this site I found the first page to be very busy and intimidating. Now that I've used it for a couple of years, I know where to find what I'm looking for.

On top of the recommended reading from Denise, go to the newbies forum and read anything that sounds interesting. That forum is where you and other neophytes can ask any question you want and never feel like it was a dumb question. You can also hit search and enter anything you question and it will take you to what you are looking for. This web site will get easier to use, and I assure you that if you wait to buy until you have spent some serious time researching timeshares here, you will be forever thankful.
