QVC has it as a TSV. I'm looking for something I can take when I go traveling so I can access the internet for email and TUG. I know it's not anywhere as nice as an IPad but I don't want to spend that much. Is the Nook worth it?

I'm puzzled by the QVC pricing for this tablet.

You can get the same thing from Barnes and Noble directly for $249.

Personally, I think it's worth it if you want a good eReader and some internet access and ablility to read emails. Unlike the Kindle Fire, it has a MicroSD card slot.

I'm not sure if it gives you full access to the Kindle MarketPlace. If your are interested in more information about this, do a Tug search on some other recent Tug threads about converting a Nook into a full android tablet.

My regular nook has 3g and I can get online with it but the going is slow. The tablet should be faster and have a better display.

You can walk into any Barnes & Nobles and buy one off the shelf. I have the original Nook, which is 2 years old and a bit glitchy. I just upgraded to their new eReader, but I didn't get the one with all the bells and whistles, because I only wanted an eReader. It was $99.
