I know that when you stay at an SVO property you do not earn StarPoints. But I always thought that incidentals would earn StarPoints. While I did receive double StarPoints via the Starwood AMEX, I did not earn StarPoints from WKORV for the $500 we paid for dinner, poolside drinks and a bracelet making class.

Is this correct?

If it went on your room key and you secured your room key with your Amex Card, then you should receive the starpoints.

When we were at WKORV in March, we did not receive any SPs for our activities (snuba diving) or food. I think my total SPs for the stay were a whopping 29! This is different than it used to be, because I am pretty sure we used to receive SPs for food  .

My understanding is that you will receive the normal SPs if paid via the Starwood AMEX but you do not receive the bonus SPs unless the operation is operated by Starwood. The store and restaurants at WKORV-N are not operated by Starwood.

We got 2x SPs for food/drinks at WSJ - used the AMEX SPG card when checking in (as always).

The same was true for our WKORV stay last Dec. In fact, our WKORV OF studio renters spent $630 and I got 915 SPs credited to my SPG account. Same happened with our WKV renter - got a 150% of the money they spent.

you should get 3 starpoints for food and 2 from starwood amex. if you did not, make a copy of the bill and fax it to starwood. have done it many times and they will add the starpoints to your account.

Interesting. At least $350 was for food. I received the AMEX bonus points but not the ones from Starwood.
