I’m probably going to buy a Grand View Las Vegas timeshare for $19.00. The sales pitch said there were lots of exchanges for 10,000 points which I’m going to took into some more.
My biggest concern is these timeshares have negative resale value—in other words folks have to pay a lot just to unload them. WHY IS THIS? I have bought and sold Wyndham timeshares and (because I’m a lawyer and do my own closing) come out about even. With Vacation Village there are no bids even at $1

Supply is high and demand is low for resale timeshares in general. You can actually find a fair number of Grandview timeshares for free with 2025 usage included at timesharenation.com; at least one of them is in points. Bottom line is that there are folks out there that no longer need/want them that are willing to pay the closing costs and transfer fees to get rid of them.

If any of your Wyndham ownerships were developer and you have PlusPoints, you effectively have access to the RCI points inventory through your Wyndham account anyway. Look before you leap.

Those 7-night RCI reservations for 10,000 points & below (formerly called Instant Exchange) are a real thing -- basically, the points version of Last Call even though sometimes check-in dates months ahead show up unpredictably.

If you're not too particular, you can snag some nice bargains.

If you're looking for particular resorts & specific check-in dates, it can be somewhat nerve wracking to keep checking without finding what you're looking for.
