No Inventory Summit at Massanutten !

Anyone else had this problem?

We had a Spring week reserved for April 2020 at The Summit at Massanutten, To comply with the Executive Orders given by Virginia’s Governor Ralph Northam on March 30th Massanutten Resort took the extraordinary step of having to cancel inbound Spring reservations and our reservation was cancel/ returned.

Since we have a Spring/Fall floating week we were offered the option to rebook our 4 Bedroom unit in the Fall (week 45-50) When we went online to see what was available but there were no openings during those weeks at The Summit.

Massanutten Reservations Dept
will not help us get a Summit unit.

They did offer 2 Eagle Trace in the Valley townhouse style units which do not compare to the newly remodeled Summit`s up on the Mountain.

In all fairness, I would like to have another time frame in the section we own...or at least a comparable unit.. Woodstone

A four bedroom is harder to book on RCI than a 2BR, but Summit inventory on RCI is not bad. I assume you are describing their internal process for claiming your float week. I am sure it will cost you more in fees, but you may want to simply get the best Summit week you can and deposit into RCI.

RCI only has 4BRs for 2020 for weeks beginning 12/4 and 12/18 (8 TPU and 15 for the one ending Christmas day).

RCI currently has 4BRs available for weeks starting spring 2021 3/5, 4/16, 4/23, 5/7, 5/14 (all at 7 TPUs.)

Finding 2BRs is much easier.

I might be releasing (Thanksgiving week) 1/2 of my Summit 4 BR lockoff in the next day or two. OR I could rent it to someone who wants to check in the Friday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 20 and check out Nov. 27th. The unit would sleep 6. I thought that my family would be coming with me, but I'll be traveling solo, so I only need one unit.
