Delaware will soon be the only state in the U.S. without scheduled commercial airline service when Frontier ends flights from New Castle Airport near Wilmington (ILG) to Orlando (MCO).

Yeah, but Delaware is such a tiny state. Wilmington is closer to Philly than I am to any commercial airport. And they also have access to BWI, IAD, and DCA. All-in-all, they have much better airport access than much of the country, including myself.

Good point. Wilmington is only 21 miles from the Philadelphia airport. I live 31 miles from our local airport.

I grew up in Wilmington DE, and it only took 20 minutes from my parents house to the PHL airport, the same time it took to get to the New Castle, DE airport. Of course, New Castle never had many flights. I live in the Twin Cities now, and it takes 30 minutes to get to MSP.
