I am wondering which II resorts are nice and upscale, preferably on the beach in the Caribbean or Mexico, that are not the major branded resorts like Marriott, Vistana, Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons or Vidanta. I know those are nice and I own with Marriott, Vistana and Four Seasons. I am looking for other interesting resorts that we might want to trade into using II. If the resort is in Mexico, I prefer it not to be an all inclusive unless you highly recommend the resort and the food is good.

Dawn Beach Club in Sint Maarten is nice, all 3BR. I beleive it has reopened since the hurricanes that wiped out many resorts there. I don't think the adjacent Westin Hotel has reopened though. Dawn Beach Club guests had access to hotel facilities, but with it closed there won't be any.

I hear the Royal Resort in Riviera Maya are great, but some of them have mandatory AI. We also visited Barbados and stayed at Ocean Two. The resort has been completely redone and I don't know how much inventory shows up in II these days.

There's also Divi resorts. They're in Aruba, St. Maarten, Bonaire, Barbados, and St. Croux. I've stayed at 3 (Aruba, Barbados, & St. Maarten). And will be staying at St. Croix next February. Barbados & St. Croix were recently renovated.
