The Newport Mansions in Rhode Island are closed to the public.

The Preservation Society of Newport County continues to monitor all CDC and public health advisories and will comply with all state and local guidance about public gatherings. In order to maintain appropriate social distance for your own protection and to protect the lives of your family and others. The Mansions will remain closed until at least May 15, 2020. * Re-Opening Date To Be Announced.

Years ago we visited Newport on a Timeshare Vacation. During our stay, we purchased a PS membership and enjoyed unlimited admission to (most) tours We toured Kingscote House, Chepstow Mansion, The Issac Bell House, Hunter House, The Breakers, Rose Cliff and Marble House..

Kingscote House was a personal tour for the two of us plus our docent, Pat who was born and raised in Newport. We toured 7 homes and mansions in Newport. Some tours had as many as 20 to 25 people plus a docent that provided information about the Gilded Age, the Mansion, the beautiful landscaped grounds and the families and servants that lived there. At times the visitor and tour lines were exceptionally long.

Qusetion:
How do you expect Newport tours and tourism and timeshare vacations
to change once these lovely Historical Landmarks reopen to the public?
