Hi all,

My first post here. Trying to determine what is the market value of the SVV time share we have and are really unable to use it to our advantage.
  • Sheraton Vistana Villages, Floating Week
  • Amelia, 2 Bedroom Villa
  • Home Season Platinum
  • VSN Season Platinum
  • 81,000 StarOptions
Reading other posts it seems a similar story that when the kids were younger and we were traveling as a family of 5 or 6 the TS worked out.
All changed now they are older and doing their own thing.
Just have not decided if it is better to try to sell it or keep it if it can be rented the years we cant use it.

Thanks

Being that it’s Amelia, the star options do not transfer to anyone who buys the unit. Essentially, the VSN season and usage goes away and the new owner can only use the Home Season or exchange in interval if they buy an interval membership.

Unfortunately, it is probably worth $0 on the resale market. Even Key West and Bella units can be bought for very little and they come with Star Options.

This week would likely have to be given away, possibly also paying current year fees and giving the buyer free use. Since it isn't mandatory, it really doesn't have any resale value.

In addition to the above comments about $0 resale value, if you keep it I doubt you'd be able to rent it to cover all your maintenance fees...

Hang onto it. The kids will start getting married and having children and you'll be planning Disney vacations for a dozen.

Been there. Done that. Great times!
