hello. I have a question for you.
When staying at HGV Studio in New York
I know there are 2 people in the group.
Is it possible for a third person to stay with a baby (2-3 years old)?
I'm Korean, so I contacted the Japanese office (there is no office in Korea) and they said it's not possible.

Studios have an occupancy of 2 people. Some folks may sneak a small child in but it is against fire code and occupancy limits.

I would do (and have done) the addition of a child as a third person with the Studio Premier (STX) at W. 57th as there is more than sufficient room and access is from two directions to the door, so fire access is not impacted. I would not do it there with a standard (Premier, STP) studio at W. 57th. I can't speak to other locations as I don't know the room layouts.

Cheers.

Is the small child the third person? Or are you hoping to add a third person/adult who comes with a small child?

@HuskerATL is correct that it is against the rules to add even a baby to a 2 person occupancy studio. It is possible that the front desk might look the other way, but there is no way to know unless you tried, and you would be taking a risk.

Thank you for your response.
I asked because in general hotels, 1 baby is often just checked in. I will book it safely.

Can I add 1 additional person on Premier TYPE (3 total)?

The official (as in if you call the resort) answer will be no.

Studio Premier also states accommodates: 2

This is true. However, the premier is a larger room and has a nicely-sized couch at the other end of the room. Official policy is 2, but this room can safely accommodate 3. Whether to do it ir not is a personal choice.

Cheers.

What would the reprocussions be in this situation?

Me and the wife were wanting to go to Vegas in a week and only one studio is available but we have two small kids. The room has two beds. The kids sleep in one, we sleep in the other.

Say I check in alone and say she's meeting me later, I leave and give her a key and she heads in 10 minutes later with the kids. They would never know.

We wouldn't plan on being there the whole trip, just to sleep at night. We would not be hanging at the resort at all. and with a shift change I doubt they'd be able to tell, or if we just went up separately with one kid each.

Any experience with this?

When my family did this with my niece in New York some years back, the adults just checked in while we hung with the kid. No issues at all.

Cheers.
