Some Cove advice for your visit
pointsjunkie, ... If you haven't been to Harborside/Atlantis lately, you might not be aware of this.
If you take the Harborside shuttle to The Cove and then walk through the long corridor in the building and then down the stairs, if you turn right (towards the pool restaurant) there is a security guard sitting on a little chair by the path turning-in to the Cove pool. He/she is there to shoo you away from any Cove facilities - including the pool restaurant (love the burgers topped with barbeque pork)!
If you turn left however (towards The Reef and its Starbucks), you can then detour and use the far access path to the Cove pool and bypass (most of the time) these officious security persons.
Go down that path after the left turn and around the pool to either the beach, the lounges or the pool restaurant. As far as I could discern when I was there last month, there is no roving security patrol to bump you out of The Cove facilities once you are in. I might remove my colored wrist band, however. Cove residents/renters don't have wrist bands.
But, if you are wearing a wrist band and turn right at the bottom of the stairs and try to get ANYWHERE at The Cove you surely will be stopped.
(When we were there, my wife told the security guard to buzz off, she didn't care what he did, she was going to the pool restaurant to have lunch. Fortunately, he did nothing. She and I had a nice lunch and the staff at the pool restaurant were glad to see us.)
Have a nice visit. :whoopie: ... eom
