I'll be at West 57th for New Year's Eve and want to know if anyone had any tips. I remember reading a post about it, but could not locate it. I believe it mentioned once you are in the times square area, you can't get back in if you leave, but a hotel key card did allow you back in.

Anyone ever do the NYC New Year's Eve thing and have any tips ?

I grew up in NYC and still have never done the Times Square thing. Honestly, the more I see it, the less I'm interested (and I love New York). It just doesn't look like fun.

But, if you do go, wear any valuables inside of your coat. This is pickpocket heaven.

Cheers.
