Hi all - First post on the forums (from Nova Scotia)! Hoping you may be able to help with my situation:

I'm looking at a timeshare resale at Ascutney Mtn Resort - 3 bedroom, red season, week 31, even years - MF $1500 every 2 years. Here's where I get confused and need some guidance:

I've read that only 3 HIVC's allow for points on resale, and this isn't one of them - but the owner states that they get 255,000 pts every 2nd year and have always travelled around to other resorts.

If I go ahead with this deal am I going to get points that I can transfer to RCI, II, IHG? If I can get this deal for only paying the current maintenace fee and maybe a transfer fee - is this a good deal? I've browsed through the HIVC Member Guide and it seems like this would be a good fit for our family - IF the 255k pts are available to me after purchase.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, if you purchase this deed since it isn't from the 3 resorts whose points transfer to the new owner, your Ascutney points will revert back to a fixed week. So you would have a week 31 every other year.
