Who Knew...the post office has a black friday sale on stamps. 14 styles to choose from $39.99 for 100 foreverstamps. Additional discount if you buy more

Moderator Note: [Post reported because it does not appear to be an official US Post Office site, so the link has been removed.] <SueDonJ

I don't think this is an official USPS site. I often see older forever stamps on eBay too. I'm not sure how buying stamps at 35 cents, storing them for years, and selling them for 45 cents, makes any money. Why would the USPS sell extra stamps at a discount -- they could just burn them.

I think you are correct...I thought the post office having a sale was weird.

Certainly not an official site. Forever stamps were first sold when first class stamps were 41 cents.

It looks like the domain was just created on November 24th. Possibly a scam site that never ships the actual product?

The site is all fake. Owner is in China. Misspellings everywhere. All previous posts are about a dog rescue site. Many posts are in Spanish. I think the whole thing is a fraud, trying to bilk people out of their money at this time of year, when demand for stamps is higher than normal. if you look closely at the stamp pictures, the word "FOREVER" on every stamp is crossed out. If you click the link to their website, even the logo there is a modified ripoff of the USPS logo.

I reported the site to FB as being faked, but I don't know if they'll do anything about it.

Whoops: Just noticed this is a different URL than the one I saw earlier today. So there are multiple fake sites out there. Buyer beware!

The USPS also crosses out the word "Forever" on all their stamp photos. I guess that is so you can't run off a sheet on your color printer

Given how much on the site otherwise is swiped from the USPS, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. (Note the logo words at the top of the page.)

Yes, I saw that. Not really sure what USTAMPTMAII.com is either.

Yes, I noticed these ads the other day. One was for the U.S Postal Service. The period after the S in U.S. is missing.

Oh, and the price was posted as $39.9. That's not how we write prices here.

Definitely a fake website. A roll of forever stamps will cost you $58.00 from any United States Post Office.

Costco retail stores used to sell the rolls for $1.00 less but I am not sure if they still do that offering or not. Maybe DaveNV can comment about Costco availability...?

When my Jeff left Costco a year and a half ago, they were still selling a roll of stamps for a dollar less than face value. We don't know the current status. We're going to Costco in two days for other things, and plan to buy stamps while we're there. I can report back then.

I just saw that the other day on a Costco ad or on the website--a dollar off a roll of 100 stamps.
