new to exchange [Starwood]

We own with Starwood and have II as our exchange company. I want to see if I can get an exchange to a particular resort. Do I need to deposit to see availability or can I check to see if I can get it before I actually make the deposit. Once I deposit can I take it out and put it back in the Starwood network?

Thanks for any help/advice anyone can offer.

Starwood and II have different rules than the other systems, so I moved your post to the Starwood forum. Please read the II FAQ at the top of the forum and then let us know what questions you have.

To answer your specific questions, when you search online, you only see the left-overs, after all the ongoing requests have been filled - the most effective way to get an exchange is to put in an ongoing request. Just looking to see what's available at the moment, won't tell you what you can get with an ongoing request.

Yes, you can withdrawl your deposit, but it takes 2 or 3 steps. See the FAQ for more info.
