New RCI Promo - reduced trade power

RCI has reduced the trade power for many week between now and March to 4 points, have to make the exchanges in the next 3 days according to the website.

One hitch, if you go to the link, or select the ad on their homepage, it takes you to the resort directory, rather than to availability. Then it tells you to log in to see availability, and again takes you to the directory. The only way to see the available weeks seems to be a regular search, and the lowest TPU you can use to filter is 10. Thankfully we have a leftover 5 pointer, and I searched with that, to filter out everything else. I'm glad I'm not trying to slog through all the listings for 10 points or less to find the cheap gems.

got the same message as well.. you would hope a company the size of RCI with all the resources (aka our money) to have all the units they are trying to dump on one page to see with check in dates.

they do that to suck you into looking for the cheepies and going with something else.

I looked at the whole email message and all the unit area listed in drop down boxes.. you click the + and the box drops down.. you click a resort and it come up in rci if you are logged in first.. then you can click on available units to see what they have..

When they first sent the message it didn't work. I got the page with a list of resorts, but when I clicked further, it sent me to the directory.

Just tried again, and it still takes me to the directory, and tells me "to see current availability, please log in" but I am logged in, and my name is showing in the upper right corner of the window, with a link to sign out!

Just tied another browser - it didn't work in Google Chrome, but pulled up fine in Firefox. I'm getting tired of different websites working better with different browsers! I prefer Chrome... until it isn't supported.

I just snagged one in Myrtle Beach. Yes, it's off season but it's a lot better season in Myrtle Beach than in Pennsylvania in February. Only 4 TPU's and Gold Crown. Not too shabby!

There's a red sales tag on eligible weeks

You just do a regular search and there's a little red sales tag which shows which resorts have the 4 tpu sales, befor you have to click thru to the resort page.
